Hi! I'm Sandra, a milliner from Nova Scotia, Canada.
My love of hats began in the mid-70's with my first "rescue", a pretty floral piece with crumpled pink flowers and a bent rim found at a thrift store. I brought it back to life with a bit of steam and a lot of patience. It was beautiful and I was hooked.
My love of hats began.
I create my hats using a variety of textiles ranging from local wool to vintage fabrics and trims.
My handcrafted originals are made using a wet felting technique or stitched using vintage fabrics and trims, in my small home studio in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, Canada.
My rescue pieces are carefully revitalized or beautifully reworked.
